The house was founded in 1955 in Bouzy by Maurice who, even today, inscribes his name on the labels of our Champagne.
It is his sons, Didier and Thierry Vesselle who today cultivate the 7.5 hectares of the family heritage, between tradition and modernity. Very attached to the preservation of the terroir of Bouzy, the two Vesselle brothers butt, devalute and plough in depth all their vineyards as before. In this logic, the HVE (High Environmental Value) certified operation is committed to respecting the environment and biodiversity.
The vineyards of Champagne Maurice Vesselle are located exclusively in Grand Cru, in the municipalities of Bouzy and Tours sur Marne.
These two villages are famous for their Pinot Noir. During the harvest, this tinted skin variety is in a hurry as soon as it arrives at the cellar to prevent it from coloring the wine. The Maurice Vesselle house cultivates this plant for the elaboration of Champagnes that benefit from all its qualities of power and roundness. Chardonnay, meanwhile, brings finesse and lightness.
Maurice Vesselle is known for its important collection of vintages from 1976 to 2007.
By choosing not to practice malolactic fermentation, we keep the freshness and finesse of our wines. We allow them to develop and maintain a beautiful typicity.
