A Legacy of Elegance and Craftsmanship
Louis Roederer’s vineyards are strategically situated across three prestigious Champagne districts: the Montagne de Reims, the Vallée de la Marne, and the Côte des Blancs. With 240 hectares planted exclusively in Grands and Premiers Crus of the Marne, the diverse terroirs of these sites offer a rich and expansive palette, enabling the House to craft wines of exceptional quality. The estate’s commitment to the three principal Champagne varietals—Chardonnay, Pinot Noir, and Pinot Meunier—ensures the creation of wines that strike a perfect balance between youthful freshness and the complexity and depth that come with mature wines.
With a history spanning over two centuries, Cristal remains the pinnacle of Louis Roederer’s production, crafted only in the finest vintages. Originally commissioned by Tsar Alexander II to produce a cuvée of extraordinary quality, Cristal was reintroduced by the House in 1924 as the world’s first prestige cuvée Champagne, a true symbol of refinement.
