HOSPICES DE BEAUNE MEURSAULT CUVEE LOPPIN 2022

Albert Bichot’s view: This cuvée has a beautiful, intense light yellow color. A seductive nose of flowers and fruit, followed by the classic density of a fine Meursault, with a hint of hazelnut that will assert itself with age. Well-balanced acidity.

The cuvée comprises part of the 1er cru “Les Cras” and the classified Meursault Village “Les Criots” terroir. South-east-facing, Les Cras rests on a clay-limestone soil, stony and sloping, bringing finesse to the wine. Les Criots, located at the bottom of the hillside with a greater thickness of clay, forms the “body” of the cuvée.

This Meursault Cuvée Loppin has been skilfully vinified by the Domaine des Hospices de Beaune. Sold every year at the Hospices auction on the 3rd Sunday in November, Albert Bichot regularly buys this great wine on behalf of clients who then entrust us with its ageing in our cellars. During this important period, thanks to meticulous work and the blending of a variety of barrels, we further develop its complexity and potential. The Domaine des Hospices de Beaune has been certified organic since the 2024 harvest, and we naturally age your wine in our Albert Bichot cellars in line with this environmentally-friendly philosophy.
